For the quality, our experienced QC team always keep eyes on the garment when bulk production. Once swimwear garment is on on-line sew, our QC technicians will do an inline inspection to avoid any mistake or bad workmanship happened.
Last week, we did an in-line inspection of bulk order customize swimwear. Herewith, we show you some details.
Our quality control is based on AQL2.5, so the inspection quantity will be taken from bulk as per below chart.

A)Check the basic information ofswimwear with a pre-production sample
The QC team will take some bulk samples per colourway from in-line production, then compare with pre-production sample to check if every detail is correct or not.
- Check if the whole garment print and solid colours are the same as Pre-production samples or not. Is the fabric quality correct or not.
- Check if the position of the main label and care labels are correct or not.
- If there’s lace or ruffle, check if the fabric colour is correct and pleat ratio is correct or not
- If there’s a rubber printing will check if the print quality and colour same as Pre-production samples or not.
- Check if the thread colour same as Pre-production samples or not.
- If there’s Belt/Button/Eyelet/Embroidery, we will check if quality and the colour same as Pre-production samples or not.
- Check if the trim such as elastic, zipper quality is same as Pre-production samples or not.
- Check the Pre-production samples comments if all of the requested were carried out in the bulk
B) Workmanship and outlooking checking
For the bulk swimwear, the common defects found are Holes, Broken stitches, Skipped stitches, Run-off stitching, Uneven stitching, Poor join stitching, Needle mark, Open seam, Untrimmed thread ends more or less than 2cm and so on. Following are the defects founded during the inspection.
1) Thread ends more than 2cm
For those sew thread in the fashion bikini set, it is definitely not acceptable by our internal quality control department. But since it is in-line inspection, the garment hasn’t been sent to the after-finish department to check and trim ends, So QC people will remind workers to pay attention to cut thread ends and keep whole bikini swimwear clean finish. Only after 100% sure if the thread trim is cleaned, they can proceed packing.
2)Some stain was found in the one-piece bathing suit
QC people will record how many pieces with this issue, and request workers to pick out all of them and clean and keep dry before packing.
3) Broken stitches
QC team found some broken stitch in a one-piece swimsuit. It is not acceptable and will let the worker resew the garment.
4) Poor join stitching
For the poor join stitches, QC team will pick out and let the worker revise the one-piece bathing suit and make good join stitching.
C) Size measure check
Not only the workmanship and garment outlooking are checked by QC team, but also every size should be measured on the customize swimwear. China swimwear manufacturer’s QC team often make notes in the size table just like below. And will pass the message to the merchandise team. So all the related person can also have in mind.
After checking above every detail of bathing suit, QC technician will judge if it is major or minor defects and then record all of the defects in the inspection report, work out the score and compare with the AQL 2.5 chart to judge if the good pass inspection or not. The inspection report will be passed to the merchandiser, The sales merchandiser will review the report and will also send to customers for the record.
As well known, it is the peak season for the swimwear industry. Much bulk order needs to ship out before Chinese New Year. The QC team is very very busy to inspect the swimwear bulk and make sure to good quality and ship the wonderful swimwear to customer.
